9 June 07: Rest Week + 10 June 07: Eric's Tourney

Hi Kismis ppl~!

Are you guys excited and prep up for the big thing? The clock is running down, fast n furiously... It's juz 5 days away and by the time i finish writing this post, it may be juz 4 days left... While you are bz awaiting the tourney and sending out taunts to your opponents (Oh no forgetting Yusoff's business with the bomoh!), your organiser here is having panick attacks and feeling totally stress out... It's gonna b a crazy week for me, so much events and planning to do. (Appeal: Will tos guys who are not playing in the tourney, can u come down & help me with the running of the event and also at t same time cheer for Kismis Utd? Urgent!)

Last week, there were 2 sessions of soccer... One on Vesak Day at St Wilfrid for our Kismis Utd guys to warm up & another regular game at Singapore Poly.

The St Wilfrid game nearly turn out to be a horror outing... Blame the bad weather, blame the pilots, go ahead and find excuses bah... We are expecting a comfortable 6v6 at St Wilfrid but end up starting with 8 players only... The punctual guys did manage to arrive on time at Boon Keng Station b4 hitching a ride in Ben's van to St Wilfrid. Reason for being PUNCTUAL? Cos u need to pre-book & pay to play there! Every sec wasted is your own $$$... Speaking of which, did u guys pay Ben for the field?!? Free meal ah! Okie, so the training went on in the light drizzle, extremely chilly, England-like weather, haha... But heng la, in the end we did manage to get 6v6. Too bad for tos few clowns who decided to come late hor, you only get to enjoy abt 45min or less of soccer... Good thing is, our tourney players got a good feel of the battleground, did their 'bonding' & then a nice cool-down & team-talk. Kismis Street is all ready le!!!

Next, Sat game at Singapore Poly... Oh yes... I dunno what happened wor, limpei fractured my ankle nver go... =( I heard it's another 12 players right? Our guys didnt manage to play at the regular court bcos someone is occupying it, so they found another one at the multi-purpose court. Played a league game of 3 teams, 2 goals change thingy... Well, kudos tos everyone who still manage to go down n chiong despite the mid-week training session.

Well, since this coming Sunday is our tourney liao, i guess it's also time for everyone to prep and rest well liao... So it's rest week this Saturday! Take a good break, stay focus and get ready to rumble on Sunday bah! I wish all players the best in the tourney and of cos Kismis Utd (Street) for the CHAMPIONS~! All the best guys!!!

PS (Note frm Ben): Will all Kismis Utd (Street) players please wear WHITE color for the tourney. Prep your safety guards hor...

Another good news: Jackson has proposed that we head over to Billybombers @ Bugis for our victory dinner... I supported the idea and think tat it'll be nice for everyone to come together after a tired day and celebrate round the table... Jackson has got some discount vouchers for that place btw!!! Cool~!
