Hiya ppl,

Nothing unusually that i can recall from last weekend's game. The usual ball, usual crowd, usual game...

We'll be playing one more time this Sat before we all get busy with Chinese New Year which is next Thurs~! So fast CNY again le. Ben is suggesting that he head over to his place for some card games and also to grab Ang Bao(s) wor. We'll try to see which date our guys is available then we go over lor. We'll b taking a break on the 9 Feb lah, that's chu-san leh. Soccer back to usual on 16 Feb. And maybe one the last Sat of Feb, we arrange outing for Kismis. I'll b planning the paintball session, so watch out for this.

26 January 08: Match Day @ Singapore Poly

Hiya ppl,

Time for soccer thingy again... Nothing special coming up this weekend so it's gonna be soccer as usual at our usual place.

With Chinese New Year just around the corner, i would wanna propose a few ideas and let everyone have an idea of what's gonna happening after our CNY period bah.

Team list: After our recent months of 'recruitment and trials' with so many new players, i guess it is time we officially welcome those (New players) who are ready to be part of Kismis United onboard (Thanks Jackson for the good job). Also time to reward our long serving players like Jackson, Joshua, Alvin, etc with their jerseys le. We'll be doing a major regroup of the players as we noticed a few of them have either left Kismis or no longer have the time to commit to us already. Will need Chris to help with the updates or come up with something (Updates, etc...) for the team list or even for the website again (I only knw how to post, design part is all dependant on you le...)

Next, Venues: I guess we had been stucked at Kismis or SP Courts for too long le. Yes, it's free and it's almost ours liao but then again dont you guys want something fresh every now and then? Considering having at least one 'away game' every month. With so much new soccer facilities mushrooming out in Singapore, why dont we go check those places out? Futsal @ The Cage, Fico Sports Hub, Futsal @ ECP, Safra Tampines and even St Wilfrid. They do boost great pitches, opening hours is also flexible. We all go, share the cost and enjoy lah. Seriously consider this bah.

Events: Yes, Kismis is all about soccer but shouldnt we take a break for some other non-soccer activites too? Well how about activities like paintball sessions, gathering/outings, watching soccer matches, chill out @ pubs, dine out? I notice we Kismis ppl only gather every weekend for soccer only, other then that, no 'connections' with each other liao. This aint healthy for the team lor. I'll be planning for a paintball section somewhere in Feb and also arranging for 'home visits' to each others' house during CNY period (Gamble, collect Ang Bao, makan~)

19 January 08: Match Day @ Singapore Poly (Ben's Testimonal Match)

Hiya Kismis citizens,

Well this coming weekend will be a special one for us. I guesss a happy and both sad thingy for all of us. A date to celebrate and a date of losses bah...

It's gonna be Benjamin aka Benjachenko aka Ah Ben's farewell game with Kismis le. I guess many of us will share the same feeling when we hear that such a great and commited player like Ben has to leave the team so prematurely due to personal commitments. Shocking news really... I personally hope & believe that this wouldnt be the last time Ben is gonna don the Red/White shirt of Kismis. But who knows in the near future he might return to join us again? Ben, dont seal your soccer boots so soon, sure got chances to play de~!

The uncertainties in life, the gains and loses, all these just make us stronger and wiser with every step we make. Who shouldnt be sad to see Ben go but rather we should feel proud to ever have a player like him. And we will always have this great friend we known. 2 years+ with Kismis, forever with us~

THANKS Ben, thanks for your commitment, your support, the blood shedded and all the things you have taught us during ya 2 years journey with us. We'll miss your 'crotch gloping' hand, beast tackles, Miss Wong impersonation, your dirty tricks and ugly defensive play... RESPECT~!

Now come to think of it...... Who's gonna bring the fuking ball every week?!!? Kaoz....!!!

12 January 08: Match Day @ Singapore Poly

Hiya ppl.

After a overcrowded weekend we had last week, i guess we really need to do something to our sudden raise in players. The response for the past one month or more had been surprisely too good for us to handle. And at times, it'd got outta hand. This raise has does have it effects on the players in Kismis both mentally and physically. Competitiveness, teamwork, game time and adaptibility...

As much as we will continue to welcome all new players joining us for our weekly games, we'll have to control that amount too. I guess we used to have this 2-teams policy when we are back in Kismis Court. But now situation have changed so we can afford a 3rd team but definitely not the 4th or 5th. We'll try to keep/limit the weekly players to within 18-21.

Our main idea is to recruit some new players to replace the departed/inactive ones but ended up with new players bringing in friends/teams uninformed. Can we stick to the uninformed players will not be entertained thingy also? Just to be fair to our current Kismis players and also to those players who take the effort to inform Jackson or me every week or juz place a little tag in this blog. We really appreciate that. The main objective is to have another major regroup after CNY; officially recruiting the new players, confirming squad numbers, making jerseys for our players.

A big welcome for the return of many of our old players too. It's great to see you all coming back for what reasons whoever knows. Hope you guys will stay for long, dont disappear again.

We'll continue to monitor the situation and act accordingly to it. Meanwhile, happy soccering with Kismis United.
