Time: 8am to 11am
Venue: Republic Polytechnic
Guest of Honour: Mr K. Shanmugam, Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs

In celebration of the Asian Youth Games, North West Community Development Council (CDC) will be jointly organising The Brooks Republic Run @ North West on 28 June 2009 with Nam Hong Welfare Service Society and Republic Polytechnic. The main target group of this event are youth aged 14-18 years of age.

The Asian Youth Games (AYG) Torch will be making an en-route to The Brooks Republic Run @ North West. A total of nine Torch Bearers who are registered for the run and residing in North West District will be appointed to represent Youth of North West District as Torch Bearers. Other registrants will also be able to witness this memorable moment of the AYG Torch Relay.

In suppot for the Asian Youth Games and The Brooks Republic Run @ North West, North West CDC is extending the invitation to send your students to the run at no cost. We appeal to schools to send about 100- 150 students for the run and we aim to have to a total of 1000 runners aged 14-18 from schools in North West District.
