Hi guys,
Its your friend from Aust here again. There seems to be alot of news today, but as you would noticed the blog has changed! I have re-coded the whole thing from SCRATCH.. the code is now much more efficient - it is an incredible 12kb! (excluding the chatterbox, poll and other external stuff)
Well, this is NOT the final product, I would like to change the header to give it a more professional n crisp look and perhaps change the background to look a bit more professional rather than it being a bit messy right now. I've put up a poll to see if you guys think its a good idea to change the background, and ideas of a new background will be more than welcome and considered thoroughly.
As for the header, I'm still using the old one for now till I link up with Yusof - the dude who designed kismis.org to get the team badge before I work on the photoshopping.
Hope you guys can comment on what I put together, and suggestions for improvements are more than welcome. But if you are just here to criticise and not offer anything constructive, than just keep it to yourself! haha.
Enjoy the site; enjoy the soccer

Exclusive photos of our legendary Kismis heros in action!
Hiya ppl~!
And yes, it's bloody 2.45am in the morning... I'd just completed the previous posting, tired... But wait, not till i get this one up also!!! =)
Every place will have a story to tell, every story will have a person to sell... Yes, today we'll go in hunt for Kismis' very own man-of-mystery. Nope, not our groovy Mr Austin Powers la, Oh-Behave~! Our version is more horny and of cos more perv. He's none other than Mr Hornblower J. Parker. After mysterious dropping a tag in our blog a few weeks ago, claiming that he had got shots of the Kismis heros. He got everyone in town making hoo-haa(s). But he did also live up to his name, Hornblower. Well thru-out Kismisland as a shameless bullshitter, he kept everyone waited for his masterpieces. Weeks passed with nothing to offer... ~.~
Limpei Du-lan liao ah! So I'd finally decided to track down this DUA-KANG kia and own him once and for all! After a surprise night raid on him one Sunday night, i finally managed to seize these:
The 'King' with the ball...
Fiq doing what Fiq does best...
Me thru-passing to Jacky...
Jacky with his weird pose...
Ben demo-ing how to throw-in...
Me waving: "Hi, Hornblower 'JD' Parker!"
Ben, me, ball, King & Alvin
Tong kicks pass Tim as Samuel & me looks on...
The See-Who-Can-Jump-Highest game
Zhihao, an attempt to score or clear?
Ben & Alvin's bolla-tango...

2 June 07: Match Day @ Singapore Poly
Hiya ppl~!
Very fast we had moved into June Holidays liao... Yupz, i know it got nothing to do with almost all of us but hey we still can enjoy it right??? Dnt bother too much abt tos xdd & xmm hogging your fav McDonalds, flooding those MRT floors or polluting Orchard Rd la... They, like hungry ghosts, had limited of doing so every year... Haha... Bear with it, we were once like them aint we??? Well those were the days...
Okie back to Soccer @ Kismis... Last Sat, we had our weekly game at Kismis. A massive and crowded one... 10v9 at one point of time, yupz you heard it right. Crazy ah you?!? Ya, a few more and we would almost have squeezed a 22-men royal-rumble into 2 Kismis courts! And we almost did, too bad a few players MIA-ed... The players count can really get very 'siao' at times... But also the amount of fun that we have there also can be very 'siao' de... But okie la, at the end of the day, everyone enjoy, everyone happy... No incidents, juz fun and competitive actions only. (Fake injuries not included, divers each sold seperately...)
With hope of keeping up such a strong crowd, we will be playing our next game in Kismis again for this coming week. The regular players who turn up for Kismis is most quite obvious to all by now. Every week, their names will be the first few to appear on the players' list... (These are the ppl for Kismis lor.) Although tis Sat's game is only a week away from the tourney, i hope none of our players will be giving any funny excuses for not attending this wk-end's game lor... Sadly, certain trends r beginning to surface and many of us have spotted it already... (U guys know what i meant.) And if really we have only 10-12 players, we'll make the switch over to Singapore Poly. Stay tune for t updates on this... And for our streets team ppl, dnt forget we had got a mid-week warm-up at St Wilfrid this Thurs (Vesak Day)! Go & test out the ground, feel the pitch and get ready to rumble on 10 June! Yeah baby~!
Another gd news, i have located Mr Hornblower Parker. Where exactly i caught him & wtf is he doing with his camera, i'll juz keep that lower profiled... And yes, i have managed to get hold of the exclusive photos of the legendary Kismis players with me! I'll b picking and posting some of this exclusive snapshots of our regular players in action. =)
~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZHIHAO aka Fish aka Ultraman ~! (29 May)
Good luck for the tourney guys~! Work hard and bring the title back to Kismis!

26 May 07: Match Day @ Kismis + Training @ St Wilfrid
Hiya ppl~!
Very quickly, the next update is up liao... N since exams fever is coming to an end soon, old man also fast regaining his memories le...
Last Sat is a miserable day for everyone... We thought we might be going to Kismis in the first place but due to poor responsible (Surprisely, considering the loads of Yes(s) over the past weeks), we decided to switch over to a smaller ground to accomodate the smaller crowd. Honestly saying, games at SP are really enjoyable but too bad that place juz have some 'problems' la... So as the snail-pace responses continued crawl its way in, many of us thought we might be giving ourselves a break after so many months of soccering le. 'Hope' came when Jackson flooded our tagboard with glittering counts of ppl. From a miserable 6, we suddenly upped the number to 12! N a last minute insertions from Shahin brought further boost to the count! N so after much last minute rallying of troops, we had a final headcount of 15! But on the actual day, only 9 players turned up (Benne was not even in the headcount list then, imagine if he didnt come...) As our players waited like gong-kia(s) at the courts, our 'MIA pilots' are no where to be found.
And before everything can start, we ganna another round of hoo-ha as there's a carnival going on in SP! But luckily, the courts r left unused. Thats t problem with SP, a lot of events held over at the stadium area and too bad we aint go ppl there to help us check. Game finally start around 10.45am becos a few of Jackson's friends went to the wrong place... But we could only manage a terrible 4v4 in the end as Benne has to leave earlier... (Argh, SP is too crowded always but tis round, SP is too empty!) While we tried desperately to contact our MIA warriors, we cant contact none except Jackson... Sigh~~~ We hit around a bit, but still okie la... Fun game will lotsa area to stunt around and pattern-pattern... Lolz... Game ended around 1pm+
Hopefully, no more MIA ppl liao, dnt think one person not coming doesnt affect the rest lor... Becos of your irresponsibility, the rest of the teams suffer lor, i mentioned this before! N be courteous enough to give us a call n inform us that you'll b pilot-ing...
Btw, this coming Sat, we are going back to Kismis le. King had booked the courts and lets wait on the finally headcount for this coming Sat. If response is bad then we might switch over to SP for the smaller crowd. And thingy will be our training game at St Wilfrid on Vesak Day (31 May 07). Ben has initiated the idea and is actively trying to get responsible from everyone as St Wilfrid's slots are hard to book. Then again, our people r slowww... in the replies again. Accordingly to Ben, only 3-4ppl are okie only! Well, can the rest please give him your support? It's for your team, not Ben...
Be responsible...

Helios ppl~!
Yupz, i know i know, this posting came late, very late... In fact, it's so late that tis old man here who is suffering 'exami-vitis' totally cant recall anything much abt what did happened liao... Anything fresh in the mind will be on Anxiety Disorder, Mood Disorders, Schizophrenia and Cognitive Disorders. Arr, anyone interested or needs help with this??? Haha, tats y i also dunno how to update... I try to recall hor...
The game went on at Home, Kismis. According to the data provided in the previous posting, we actually had 19 players that day. Y so many ppl, how i know? So we can come up with the hypothesis: In order to accomodate that amount of players in Kismis, we had to play Cross-court. Yupz and so we did... I think we played something like 8-9 cross-court bah cos a few players went off early. Goals r scored... Tackles made... Then, then... Argh... Nonetheless, we still have a great game la... Aiyah, what exactly happened then or after, i really cant remember le... Paisey ah~
Oh during our game, Mr 'Peter Parker' came n snapped away with his new toy. As usual, this fella will try to come & 'hao lian', i meant exhibit his new toys in front of us... (Sadly, none of the players bothers abt him and i think someone even asked him to move aside as his disturbing the flow of the game, hahaha...) And after the game, came the ultimate, Mr Parker posted on our Kismis Blog claiming he had got some exclusive pics of the legendary Kismis players... While the rest of the world eagerly anticipates such rare shoots, he suddenly disappears with everything... So till tis very moment, the world is kept at a "Wah! Woo! Huh? Chey~~~" Headlines read: Hornblower Parker strikes again!
Games at Kismis are always fun n simple la, no rollercoaster events one... Seems like there is always this harmonious aura there... Ohm... The upcoming week, we should b going to Kismis but hehe, since this is a backdated posting, we actually went over to SP instead! Stay tune for more updates...
:P ----> HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEREMY ~! (15 May 1985) <---- :P
Bolla bolla...

12 May 07: Match Day @ Kismis
Hiya ppl again~
Time for another Kismis team update. The dust had settled after a raging war last week... Not much damage done anyway, so no prob... As we move into exams week for a few of us, we are also happy to welcome back a few of those who have return victorious from their challenge at NUS exams halls... At the same time, praising the absolute weird school timings in Singapore, we are also experiencing a new sch term at Polys. People come, people go... June holidays coming soon, so.... Eric's Tourney is also coming liao... Hehe... We r playing 5-aside artifical turf, 10 June @ St Wilfrid <--- Mark this date!!! So guys, start preparing for this! Last Sat, we were back at SP for another round of soccer. Tis time round, we thought we will be more prepared and ready for any unexpected turn outs liao. The last head-count for that day should be kept at 15-16 will expectations for some 'pilots'. But Murphy is always the first law in anything we do. End up with Erwin bring friends this time... ~.~''' Thank god, we dnt have any ugly incidents/scenes tis time...
How it went: The game kick off nicely wif a simple 5v5 then 6v6... And as our players start to flow in, we start to 'enlarge' the playing space by shift goalposts back... By the time 7v7, SP is alreadi very jam pack liao... But we still try to accomodate... After a short break, we have to let Erwin's frds into the game too (As they have been waiting for long to join in)... We end up pushing the goalpost even further back... The 'soccer court' become so funny odd-shape, like a long rectangle... Reminds me of my childhood game 'Sarong', u gotta take the ball from one end, go pass layers n layers n layers of players before u can see the other goalpost... Damn lame lor... Then came the ultimate, or is it a blessing in disguise, i also dunno... SP also got ppl chase ppl one hor!!! But tis time, we were 'defeated' by some students. Damn, and we always thought t security uncles were our biggest enemies!!! Okie, then lan-lan gotta leave the place and head back to HOME... Yupz, home is Kismis la... End up, had a short and boring game at Kismis, all mood ganna spoilt by the students in SP for some of us liao... Also mainly bcos of the bloody weather also la... Game eventually ended shortly... Final, headcount on 5 May = 20!!!
Well tis wk-end, we'll b back in Kismis... Dnt wanna think so much liao. Kismis is t only place that can accomodate any unexpected arrivals! N since we r planning for many returning players, tat gives us another reason to go back.
We will also be preparing for the June tourney on Sat. I m happy to inform everyone tat our team for this tourney will be lead out by Ben. Please work with him as he gathers his players for the tourney. Will also try to play against Ben's team to help them to gel up n improve... Go Kismis Street team!!! I urge everyone to give them your full support, thanks... We expect a gd position for tis tourney, bringing back the glory to Kismis!
PS: Oh from tis week onwards, i'll not be posting anything for the field team in this blog anymore. I found that it serves no purpose and the info r hardly updated also. I m also a bit disappointed with the 'role' i played for the field side so far. It seems like t best i can offer is to lend them my sch field every Sun and help to book fields only, nothing else. I think i'd quietly done a lot liao. (In short: I'd gotta get better 'support' la...) I guess some of you guys will get what i meant...
Kismis Utd for the win anytime~!

5 May 07: Match Day @ Singapore Poly
Hiya ppl~
Today is Tuesday, bloggin day... I guess tday's posting will be much awaited for a few ppl. Be it for good or bad reasons. (Will there be a game or will it b a war going on?) After a series of 'trouble', we are hit with another wave of it yet again. But no matter what the decisions are, be fair and responsible for yourself and Kismis Utd. Dnt bring the previous week's history into the next. N i'll say Dnt come n spoil other's mood if you think you aint ready to play a gentleman's game that day. Ben mentioned that Kismis is a family, yes we always are. If anyone wont b unhappy playing, juz stay out for that week & take a breather lor. Return happy and recharged. Every wk continue to play can be quite 'sian' and frustrating for some, tat i understand.
Our 'eventful' trip to NUS... World tour? Are we ready for that? Well, after what happened last Sat at NUS and what followed on the blog. It seems like not everyone shares a common understanding for a lot of things. Was it due to poor communication among our kismis ppl, dunno how to read blog or was it some comments tat was made? Lets not trying to hide away from facts and be ready to accept things. Mistakes are made at NUS. (Really dunno to love or hate tis place, haiz...)
We arrived earlier than usual at NUS, more than 1hr earlier with lotsa buddies still caught wif sleepy eyes. Reason is that we thought NUS will b packed, we wanna secure a court and to at least give our own ppl priority of getting a game first. (Many of us have bad memories of that place, how tos buggers there come in & 'rob' ppl...) Many of us made it in time and we r glad to have a court to play among ourselves. (But hor, we totally forget tat NUS is having exams what, where got crowd one?) So comfortable 6v6 or 7v7 at tt point of time... N when the crowd slowly flows in, there are still many other courts available and naturally, people will wanna play among ppl they know or get their own turf. (We did reject a few teams but they r fine wif it, =D) Then came the 'most exciting' part of our NUS world tour, we got challengers. A big lorry full of them, wah (Abt 10 or more)... Yes, world tour is about challenging others but not when you have abt 18 ppl in ya team! Split 3 teams, okie but we try not to... Mistake 1: Didnt expect the sudden good response of our Kismis turnout. Lotsa ppl brought frds and missing players returning. So we aint really ready for challengers. Mistake 2: Everyone thought Shawn brought tos lorry of ppl for the game. Even me also thought so. A quick refer to the previous blog, Shawn is actually alone. Tos r his friends but aint really his lorry of ppl. So end up, Mistake 3: our unpleasent shout out incident. WC aint aware, he is just doing his part for Kismis. Due to lack of communications, we took for granted tat tos ppl tat knows Shawn are generally his lorry of ppl. But also due to t fact that they came in and are ready to join in, we have to lan-lan and let them come in lor. Reason very simple, cause frds that know Shawn mah, must give face also... (Diff between Shawn's frd & frds that know Shawn) Tats y Fiq & I say come in lor what to do. Can understand the feelings of why WC and a few others got so unhappy, i felt the same also. Came early to play, playing happily, end up game ganna interrupted again... But if things were made clear then, we would have rejected them the 3rd team cos we'd abt 18ppl on our side then. 9v9 is juz nice in NUS. And then came a rough n physical game with ppl being unhappy over incidents then happened b4 and during the game. Our great lads braved up to the challenge but due to crazy rotation of players (Cause we have too much ppl on the sidelines), we end up in a mess and eventually lost the game. I think a few players also didnt get to play much tat day, so paiseh... Mistake 4: I also very paiseh that i neglect/nver cater for the fact of having such a big crowd and not informing everyone. We are all ready to challenge NUS ppl tat day but suddenly change of plans...
But all ends well, everyone is happy at t end of the day... We played at NUS again (Definitely a nice place minus tos ppl), we have a crackin' 5hrs game(Woot~) & we did try our best to come together as a team and stand up for each other b4 & after tt game. We should try to boost up our Kismis moral and not get affected by other ppl's comments and unfair criticism. We gotta see for ourselves to make any judgement. N from the incident, althought we are there to see, we also made mistakes. So who are tos who aint involved? But all tis r not impt at all. Getting the mindset right should b it. Everyone here is for Kismis, we made up Kismis & we are Kismis. When we go, we go as a team & when we return, not a man less.
Side note: I'd spoken to Shawn n WC. Shawn says he is relac abt t whole thing. WC is also very calm. So i shouldnt b expecting to see anymore paper war on the tag!!! Who ever wanna continue to bring up t incident will b a troublemaker, a stir-er of Kismis~ All this for t sake of Kismis Utd, fair enough?!?
So... This coming Sat, we enjoy our game bubbly, happily at SP... (Let me continue to suan tos goalpost fanatics... Hahaha...) :p Well ya, expecting a larger crowd at SP tis Sat. Spoken to a few ppl & i think they verbally say okie liao... Expecting Mr Jon-'PesE'-D to return frm overseas also. Our scholars frm NUS should also return. Regulars should also b there. Woohoo, tos goalpost fanatics also, ahaha... Jacky will b out cos injured, Denn should b having exams. So a rought estimate will bring us to another 16-18 again. SP is definitely too small for tat. We'll shift the goalpost back to make t court larger & if necessary, 3 teams (Not advisable)... N if really too many ppl, we'll shift back to Kismis to play...
Hope tat everyone learn from this bah... Happy May Day~!
