Hiya ppl,
Thanks for all the feedback on the tag column. It'll definitely benefit the progress of the team.
May i summarise from the feedback that we all share the common view of 1) We should bring the recruitment drive to a temporary stop, 2) Maintain an 'All Kismis' players team for every match to gel up, 3) Remain with the 3 teams policy for competitiveness 4) Re-org and finalise new team list for further plans.
Base on the turnout of last Saturday's game, 1) has slowly but definitely come to a stop le. With a count of 11 non-Kismis players of which many of the players already belong to another team of their own. There aint much 'free agents' players to sign up.
Issue 2) is definitely a fail liao. We managed to start off with a 'Kismis all-star' team but ended up mixing players again. The main reason i see is because our 'opponents' were not able to form their own teams without 'borrowing' our players. Even a simple 6v6 may be tough for them as they usually have only 4-5 players thus they will need 1-2 Kismis players to make up the number in the end. Unless we put a cap to the amount of players we allowed every Sat, such situation will always surface. Eg: Cap of 21 players only, 3 teams of 7s. From the past turnouts, i see a ratio of about 1 Kismis : 1.5 Others. Therefore we'll still end up with 1 All Kismis, 1 Others, 1 Mix team. Of course, all this will varies weekly. No problem for All Kismis & Others team. But for Mix, I see the solution of fitting those players who are late into the Mix team lor, no choice (So dnt be late else you dnt get to play Kismis). Hopefully as we move along, we'll bring the turnout ratio up to 2 Kismis : 1 Others.
Issue 3) is a bit tricky. There is no need to play against other teams every week, we can still play among ourselves for improvement and always arrange for friendly(s) against others. The main idea is still to gel the team first then improve together. No point pitting against others if we dnt even 'know' who we are! Then again, we act according to the turnout bah as we try to exercise 'control' of the number of Others players every week. Guess all these, we still can stick to item 3) for the time being if necessary and improvise along the way.
Last item 4) will be going on now and hopefully completed by the end of March. I would like to officially welcome Jonathan (Guyver) into Kismis. And we are awaiting the confirmation from Zhaoming also. Any further 'signings' will depend on Jackson to provide us with the information and scouting reports le. After the finalisation of the players, i'll be able to go source fundings for jerseys (Whether we keeping the old or making new ones). I'm also arranging for team building sessions via adventure games/sports/outings. I try to get new balls and cones also. Then we can go competitions too. Hopefully we can get things done up soon.
Other side issues will be the late comings liao... I think we all should do something about this causal habit liao. We may think it's nothing but it wont be beneficial in a long run. Try to stick to around 9.30am best. Oh ya, please send regards to that player who lost his tooth last Sat also.
Well let's work together and try to keep to our arrangements. While everyone should continue to give feedback or views for the team. Thanks ya~
