Hellos ppl~!
Ho-sey bo? Updates again...
Last wk-end, Kismis turned cold n gloomy... No, not the players but rather the weather... Reminds ya of tos freezy n misty Euro sky and the only heat n passion is right there on the pitches. Too bad we aint get fans n supporters to light up the atmosphere... Perfect weather for me nonetheless, i enjoy the sunless day... End up playing 6v6 throughout the day with ppl coming in n leaving... Hey, gd and comfy game thou... Nice crowd, nice ppl...
Tis wk-end, yeah~! We r going to Tanglin Fields..... not~?!? Well dunno why, the booking didnt went thru, ganna rejected... So no field liao wor, how? T possible fields like Marina, Bt Timah, various schools, i also checked liao... Not avaialable... Only one left is St Wilfrid, 6v6 courts... I'd inform JonD since last Sat to make a quick decision n hunt for a field asap... Hopes he got something for us (Well it's his day, he wants a field game, he got do something lor). So meanwhile, we can continue to wait n delay of where to play... While i suggest u guys who have friends or opponents who wanna challenge us to turn them away first... I guess chances of getting a field is low...
Btw, King has still book the courts at Kismis for us. Gd move lor, most prob end up playing our usual court game there one la... Unless, u all want Kismis field!?! Lolz, i anything la, but pls get someone to volunteer to wash my boots... Tat place is fugly muddy la!
Well btw, Happy Birthday to Ahhao (2 Feb), JonD (3 Feb) & Erwin (5 Feb)!!! Kismis Utd wishes u 3 all the best and happy always~!

Hiya ppl~
Dunno what happened last week, aint bothered abt it also... So consider nothing to report for last week-end...
Now, got something to say abt tis coming Sat. We should be having a game at Kismis lah, shouldnt be changes to our usual routine lah but they'll b a serious drop in t amount of players... A portion of our guys will be out for in-camp, exams or work... That leaves us with not much people i think. A 5v5 should still be on the list lah, so need everyone to cooperate and reply to JonD or me asap so i can plan any last minute changes. Xie xie ni~!
Second annoucement, 3rd Feb got field soccer game hor. Venue is Tanglin Field 4. Haha, we r going to Tanglin Fields again, hoot~! This one hor, also need you all to help gather more ppl to go down. We got no opponents, juz going there to have fun only. JonD is sponsoring this field game. (If you wanna say thank you to him, the best way will be to injure him. Juz aim for his shins, slide tackle his ankles or kick his balls.) Shiok~! Bet he wont get angry...

Re: Official 'Issues Day'
Hiya ppl~!
What happen, what happen? How come i not around only, got issues again?
Okie, me read both postings by Jacky n Chau liao. Aiyah, both also got their points lah... But me would like to clarify some things n also give my view on a few issues also...
For me, i'd always supported the idea of playing 2 teams only, no matter what. Reason is bcos i dnt want any players to come all the way down to Kismis n wait for their chance to play. The excuse or whatever you wanna call it, i'd said these before. Players travelling down from all over Singapore on this sleepy Sat morning just to play soccer, yawnz. It starts at 9.30am (Yah right, like real!) and usually ends at 1pm. But actually, the real playing time aint that supposed enjoyable 3.5hrs lor... After much dragging n waiting n horsing around, we are left with very little time actually. Travelling players find it 'silly' to travel all the way to just play a little bit of soccer lor. (I asked travelling ppl b4 hor, hehe) Eg., how many players did response to Henderson game actually? I'll b direct on tis, they juz fuking dnt wanna travel only! My respect to the few who bothers to make it. Pardon tos who got reasons la of course... Another reason (excuse) for playing 2 teams only, is bcos i thought a good mix of players is a good thing lor. If too many teams, end up everyone bring his own team down, then want KISMIS UTD for what? Unless, 3-4 teams is a random of players lah. If wanna challenge KISMIS UTD on a 5v5 friendly or whatever than KISMIS will get our best 5 play with u. (But hor, who is the best 5?) Everyone will have their own answer in their mind, haha... I dnt understand the time issue that you guys had on Sat, i only know that playing 2 teams = no time issues. :D
Thats why, after consulting most of our KISMIS ppl, end up playing cross court thingy... So far so good, since last yr until now, no problems at all what... For a group of 8v8 or 9-9 players, playing cross court is good. It can accomodate all players and at least make everyone run a bit more... But hor, i also sian about whacking t silly ball at a dumb bench actually... So t idea of having a goalpost is gd gd... But must first get certain things worked out, the $$$ issue (seriously i dnt wanna pay out any much more lor, the jersey & chalet had killed me), the 'where-to-put' issue (Goalpost heavy? Keep where? Chau not here, who bring? Need someone with car, JonD also not regular anymore...) & the 'when' issue (When wanna get it done and rdy? Kismis well known for delays...) Oh, according to King, he dnt always book 2 courts, sometimes only. So goalpost for one single court is practical? If all tis r answered, we go ahead with the posts. I support~!
Oh finally, the field issue, 27th Jan or 3 Feb ah? Sounds familiar? Yeshhh, fuking familiar... Oi, bird-day boy, what's your call so me go book field le... N SHOW ME THE MONEY~! 1-2 weeks left for you to delay and consider...
Aiyah, juz wanna say enjoy the short short once-a-week soccer bah... More ppl larger space, lesser ppl smaller space. N also, priority is always given to the KISMIS UTD ppl at all times lor, the handsome 18 guys... Others so paisey lor, unless u tell us that u wanna join us. :P We welcome anyone who wanna join~! We can make jerseys for you, no prob...
Oh, may i declare 20 Jan as our official "Kismis Issues Day"??? So much issues one, hahaha...
Guys enjoy and juz play soccer lah... Cheerios~~~!

RE: Just want to play soccer
Hey guys, Chau here.
After reading Jacky's post, I got a few comments. I don't think 3-team idea was a bad one. I think the team sitting out has a chance to rest, and it would negate any 'half-time' breaks we would otherwise have. I mean why complain about sitting out, when by the time it hits 11am, we are struggling to find people to step onto the pitch because they are too tired.
At the same time, I know I was the one who was arguing that there should be a 20-minute rule. After 20 mins, the game should be decided in some form of a tie breaker. So the third team can play. It is not just because my team was waiting, if I were playing, I would give way too if our teams couldn't find a goal for an extended period of time. Afterall, the longer you play, the more tired you get, the less likely you would find a goal.
Anyway, I didn't want a team to sit out in the first place. I was hoping to get 20people down and a 5-a-side concept could be spread over 2 courts. So everyone is playing at once. Unfortunately, we had an awkward number of 17, and 4-a-side is a much different game from 5-a-side (more boring). Afterall, we did book two courts didn't we?
Although alot of members did not agree with me on the poll about the cross-court idea, I would like to state my point about playing on a bigger version. 8 or 9-a-side, like Jacky mentioned could be enough for a field. If we wanted to play field soccer, with it's long through balls and wing-crosses, I would have grabbed my stud soccer shoes and go to the big empty field at kismis to play. However, I enjoy my short-passing, close technical skill street soccer game, and that is what I come down to kismis for. And it only makes sense to play that on a small court with fewer players, otherwise it's not called street soccer. So I hope you understand my disagreements about the wider version thingy.
Also, (though in some ways it's my fault I didn't bring it up on match day), no one responded about the goalposts that we could purchase for the club. According to the poll, there has been an overwhelming response (compared to other choices) regarding having a goalpost for our team. I took the liberty to go look for one, now I would like members to respond towards the idea of getting one. You can check out what I said about the goalposts in the previous' posts, but basically a its 'dismantle-able' goalpost around 1.5m by 3.5m and would cost about $335.
Honestly, I did find it frustrating playing with sandals as 'posts'. There is so much dispute if it is a goal or not, about the height of the 'keeper' and what not, and it reflects on the general quality of the game.
I'm just trying to take small steps to improve the quality of our game. We know we want to enjoy a good game of soccer every Saturday, so let's make it even more enjoyable!

We just want to play Soccer..........................
K Guyz,
I know the game today din went smooth because of the 3 team tingy.. It's fantastic to have so many people down for soccer on this faithful saturday but I understand each and everyone's feeling about sitting outside waiting for your turn to play..The feeling s**ks, everyone knows it...We had to resort to this 3 team tingy largely because we had overwhelming response for soccer today. We were able to form 8-a-side which is enough to play a field game anytime...
Of course I'm not going to jump the wagon by saying what should be the arrangement when there's so many people around for soccer. With more players, it is definitely better than with only a pathetic 5-a-side which we used to endure in the past.
I was reluctant to stop the game just now and at the same time reluctant to let the game continue cause we have 12 players on the court enjoying themselves and all believe that the goal is coming soon. On the other hand, I have 6 players waiting outside eager to play and was getting impatient cause the pre-arranged 20min ruling was not adhered. I would not support anyone cause both had their reasons and I 'might' have reacted the same way if I'm on either end....
Anyway, I think this could be avoided if we tried to play all of the people we have got and there will be no complaints DEFINITELY....I'm actually supportive of Eric's idea of doing a cross court when we have this many players but it would only be possible if the cones bearer is down so that the play will be more thrilling then just placing a pair of sandals @ both ends as Goal Post rite?!
To end it all, I would like to seek everyone's cooperation to stay cool about all this k, the play was great today where we see good passes & goals...At the end of the day, we just want to enjoy the game.....We just want to play Soccer....Rite... :)
Cya next Sat!!!!
J@CKY.....
P.S.: The ball that was shot into the fencing where that generator was has been collected by me and kept in my car booth for the next game pl.
